IS THERE A DEADLINE TO VIEW THE ON-DEMAND CONTENT BY?

Yes. Free learning and conference content will be available on-demand from the date the session takes place until 23:59 (GMT) 9 December. 

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY FOR CONFERENCE TICKETS?

Cancellations received a minimum of 30 days prior to the first day of the event will be refunded. Please note: a £45 administration fee will be incurred to process all ticket refunds. It will not be possible to cancel bookings with less than 30 days notice to the first day of the event. Substitute delegates are welcome at no extra charge. Any ticket cancellations that still have payment outstanding will be liable for either the administration fee or the full registration fee, dependent on the date and time of the cancellation. Attendance fees will not be refunded in the event of threat of war, terrorism or other circumstances outside of the organisers’ control. Where the organisers elect to cancel a conference the liability of the organiser will be limited to a refund of any fees paid. The organisers are not liable for any consequential loss.

I AM NOT ABLE TO PAY FOR THE CONFERENCE, WHAT ALTERNATIVE IS THERE?

The online exhibition is completely free to attend. You’ll get access to: two streams of free learning showcases available live and on-demand, 30+ leading suppliers showcasing the latest products and services, the Development Hub, and online networking facilities to create new connections with peers globally. We are delighted to provide all exhibition-only visitors free access to the conference opening keynote on day one with award-winning author of ‘Why I’m No Longer Talking to White People about Race’ Reni Eddo Lodge and Director of Creative Diversity at the BBC, June Sarpong OBE.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE FREE EXHIBITION PASS?

WHY HAS THE CIPD ANNUAL CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION DECIDED TO HOLD AN ONLINE EVENT?

Due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, we have decided to run this year’s CIPD Annual Conference and Exhibition as a two-day online event from the 11-12 November 2020.

We are committed to delivering an interactive experience which will tackle the challenges and questions your organisation currently faces head on.  With the majority of workforces still working from home, we appreciate you may have other work or family commitments to focus on. Therefore we believe delivering this year’s event online will give more people the opportunity to attend and take advantage of the learning and networking opportunities available.

I HAVE BOOKED A CONFERENCE TICKET, WHERE CAN I PRE-BOOK THE CONFERENCE SESSIONS THAT I WANT TO ATTEND?

You will be able to add your preferred sessions to your online schedule when you log into the event platform by visiting ‘Schedule’.

HOW DO I LOG INTO THE EVENT PLATFORM?

Once you have registered to attend the online event, you will receive an email from CIPD@eventnetworking.com with details on how to access the event platform.

WHICH INTERNET BROWSER SHOULD I USE?

For the best user experience, we recommend using Chrome.

CAN I ACCESS THE EVENT ON MY MOBILE?

Yes, the event platform is mobile and tablet friendly however, we would always recommend joining via your desktop or laptop for the best experience.

WHY IS THERE AN ECHO WHEN I’M WATCHING SESSIONS?

Please check whether you have multiple tabs or windows open in your internet browser, close the tabs and try logging back into the session.

WHY CAN’T I SEE THE CONFERENCE SESSIONS?

If you have registered for a free exhibition pass, you will not have access to the conference. Please email cipdevents.tickets@haymarket.com if you would like to upgrade to a conference pass.

HOW DO I UPDATE MY DETAILS?

 You can update your profile, interests and availability in the ‘My profile’ section and company information in the ‘My company’ section of the event platform. You’ll find this in the top right-hand corner menu next to your name.

WILL I BE ABLE TO ACCESS THE SESSIONS AT A LATER TIME OR DATE?

Yes, sessions will be made available to access both in real-time and on-demand for 28 days (23:59 UTC 9 December) subject to speaker permission. They will be available at the end of the day on the date they take place.

WILL I BE ABLE TO ASK QUESTIONS TO THE CONFERENCE SPEAKER DURING THE SESSION?

Yes, you will be able to get your questions answered during the scheduled session time via the online Q&A functionality. This will not be possible if you’re viewing the session on-demand.

DO YOU PROVIDE SUBTITLES AND CLOSED CAPTIONING?

Yes, all conference sessions and free learning showcases will have subtitles and closed captioning for those with hearing disabilities.

WHAT IS YOUR DATA SHARING POLICY WITH EXHIBITORS/SPONSORS? 

The first time you log in to the event platform, you will be asked whether you would like to opt out of sharing your data with any exhibitors/sponsors you choose to visit on the platform. If you don’t select to do so, your data will be shared with the exhibitors whose stands you visit or free learning sessions you attend.

HOW DO I REGISTER FOR A FREE PRESS TICKET?

Please contact press@cipd.co.uk to register as a member of the press to attend the online CIPD Annual Conference and Exhibition. Please note that press registration is restricted to journalists, editors, publishers, broadcasters and bloggers associated with the HR industry and related fields. Press applications may be required to produce accreditation. Non-editorial representatives are not eligible – these interested parties are invited to book a conference ticket.
