What are your health and safety measures for attending in-person?
We are looking forward to reconnecting the people profession at face-to-face events. The CIPD and Haymarket Media Group (who deliver events on behalf of the CIPD) continue to follow the guidelines set out by the government and closely monitor the situation with regard to Covid-19 on a regular basis.
The health and safety of event attendees is our top priority. To help keep everyone safe and to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone, please note the following:
- Lateral flow test: we recommend that you take a test 48 hours before the event. You must stay at home if you test positive or have any symptoms.
- Face coverings, social distancing, and contact: it’s your personal choice, but we recommend wearing a face mask when in busy or confined spaces and be mindful that others may wish to maintain some social distancing and may not be comfortable with contact.
- Hand sanitising stations will be available for you to use throughout the venue.
- Handouts: be considerate of collateral handouts and that people might not be comfortable taking them.
I have been advised to self-isolate and cannot attend. What should I do?
If you are unable to attend the event due to a Covid related issue, we will transfer you to an online ticket and refund any difference in the ticket price only.* You will then be able to view all sessions streamed live, or on-demand for three months after the event takes place. Please get in touch with us on cipdevents.tickets@haymarket.com.
*In the case that you are unable to attend, please contact your accommodation and/or travel provider directly to request a refund if possible.

I think I have received a scam email, what shall I do?
Exhibitors are being targeted by organisations claiming to be, or work with the CIPD. They offer misleading directory services, accommodation recommendations and show guide services – sometimes they use existing CIPD branding which may appear genuine.
Please be aware and remain vigilant when contacted by these organisations. We recommend not responding to these communications and to circulate examples of scam emails to make the appropriate teams aware of the risk.
The CIPD Annual Conference and Exhibition is not in any way associated with these organisations and does not engage in the sale or trade of any customer lists or charge for show guides/profiles. If you are ever in doubt about a piece of communication received in relation to the CIPD Annual Conference and Exhibition, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with your Account Manager.
