Gill is a highly experienced HR professional who has been specialising in Diversity & Inclusion for over 10 years. She has spent a great deal of her career so far at BT where she held a number of different roles within different parts of the business, culminating in a D&I Specialist role working across all the divisions within the company. Here, Gill worked on designing strategy, giving specialist advice and helping the business to move forward with D&I. She had a lead role in reviewing the recruitment process within BT from a D&I perspective.
Gill joined the Royal Academy of Engineering in 2017. She is currently leading a project which is looking at D&I across engineering employment through the largest survey to date that has been conducted solely with engineering employers. She is also working with engineering employers in developing tools that will help increase the diversity of people employed within engineering and has recently facilitated a working group which has developed an Inclusive Recruitment toolkit.
