Tim has been Chief Learning Officer of Unilever since May 2016, responsible for learning and development for Unilever globally, and also responsible for Wellbeing. In this role Tim’s focus is on building the leaders and teams needed for a purpose driven business, developing the skills and capabilities for a digital and disrupted world, and enabling people in Unilever to have the wellbeing needed for happiness and high performance.
Tim joined Unilever in 1993 as a graduate trainee. His assignments have taken him to the Netherlands, Belgium, the US and around the UK. Before becoming Chief Learning Officer, he was Vice President of HR for Unilever UK & Ireland, one of the largest businesses in the Unilever global organisation.
In his spare time Tim works to enable leaders from around the world to develop their ability to make a positive difference in the world. His particular focus is on how to help leaders access their inner resources, know and lead from their purpose, make ethical and sound decisions under pressure, and develop the potential in the people and situations around them.
