Integrating talent management and workforce planning in uncertain times
Integrating talent management and workforce planning in uncertain times.
Whether it be Brexit, global economic volatility, technological change or coping with shifting demography, many employers are rightly concerned about whether they will have the necessary skills and workforce to deliver their business. These challenges mean we need to enhance, adapt and integrate our workforce planning and talent management approaches. Future resourcing needs to be centre stage in our employment and HR strategies and work plans. Resourcing needs to look across and pull together activities in recruitment, retention, workforce development and skill deployment. We also need to respond realistically to uncertainty on a range of timeframes.
Practical ideas, techniques and examples will be used to show how:
- you can integrate workforce planning and talent management to tackle workforce challenges, including Brexit
- you can use a range of workforce planning methods to help managers and leaders understand resourcing risks and increase organisational agility
- talent management strategies and practices are shifting in a range of sectors to address skill concerns arising from Brexit and other change
