Thought Leader: Organisational diagnosis: an evidence-based approach

Thought Leader: Organisational diagnosis: an evidence-based approach

Organisational diagnosis plays a critical role in organisational change initiatives in terms of both choosing appropriate interventions and contributing to readiness-to-change within an organisation. It is vital that organisational diagnosis is rooted in evidence-based practice to make better decisions. An evidence-based approach to OD is based on a combination of using critical thinking and the best available evidence. In this session, we will discuss:

  • what it means to take a more evidence-based practice approach to organisational interventions
  • what are the critical appraisals processes used to help determine the trustworthiness of data
  • why a systematic process for evidence-based practice is critical for the discipline and should be part of any framework for OD competencies.
