Andrea Vogel, Head of People and Achievement, Warchild
Andrea Vogel is the Head of People and Achievement at Warchild UK, an International NGO supporting children affected by conflict. In this role, she has set up a new HR team and is currently implementing her people revolution paper, which aims to support Warchild in its rapid growth through the development of it’s’ people. Andrea has started her career as a Learning and Development specialist before moving into more generalist people management leadership roles. Andrea is a Chartered Member of the CIPD and a Mentor in the CIPD Mentoring program. She is also a certified conflict coach and is especially passionate about using this technique for mediation in the workplace. She has completed her Masters in HR Management at Griffith University in Australia in 2007, with an emphasis on strategic leadership, learning and achievement. Building on this, she has more recently completed her postgraduate studies in Psychology at Liverpool University, concentrating her research on social psychology and individual differences. Moving out of the public sector in Australia, Andrea has gained extensive experience in the International humanitarian world since 2010. She has lead several HR and Wellbeing functions with the United Nations in Sudan and the International Committee of the Red Cross in Iraq and Geneva, before coming to the UK last year.
