Carol Henry, Group People Director, Arnold Clark

Since becoming Group People Director in 2013, Carol Henry has been responsible for guiding, managing and providing strategy on the people function for the Arnold Clark Group. This includes employee relations, engagement, recruitment, health and safety, payroll and training.

Carol began working for Arnold Clark in 2002. She has a BA (Hons) in Business Management with HR from UWS and spent three years with Scottish Power in an HR role. She worked for Arnold Clark as Group HR Manager before progressing to her present role.

Carol is driven by a sense of purpose to help Arnold Clark become not just the largest, but the best retailer and Employer of Choice for existing and future talent. Currently, she’s striving to cultivate a welcoming and inclusive workplace, with gender parity, youth employment and diversity at the heart of the agenda.

She is also a Board Member of the Scottish HR Leadership Group and a Chartered Fellow Member of the CIPD.
