Decio is an experienced and pragmatic HR professional with over 15 years HR portfolio gained in Africa, Europe and North America.
Mainly playing a key role within Business Transformation, Change Management and HR processes excellence, Decio has recognised knowledge in leading synergies with employee forums within complex matrix structures.
Being a skilled HR and Organisation professional, Decio’s approach to People management is focused on developing professional relationships at all levels of the organisation, to better support in delivering change and transformation initiatives that are aligned and support business objectives.
Decio began his career in Hospitality industry in London in the early 2000’s where he gained a strong business acumen in commercial operations and a passion for people development.
This was followed with an opportunity to work as a Global HR Business Partner for a large Oil & Gas multinational company, in locations such as USA, Angola and South Africa. This allowed Decio to develop a significant portfolio in Coaching and Facilitation interventions, sharpened a truly Global HR Business Partnering role and developed new Conflict Resolution methods, suitable for large concentration of expatriates in offshore and onshore hardship locations.
More recently, Decio has been working with a global manufacturer, where he has driven cultural change and championed operational improvement across multiple locations in Europe, Asia and America. Decio has been instrumental in setting up various outplacement services and overseeing a variety of HR programmes across the company.
Decio’s international HR experience with multiple cultures perfectly positions him to, not only advise and influence decision-making at a senior level, but also to support the development of strong professionals at all levels of an organisation.
In addition to being a driven professional, Decio believes in constant self-development, and he is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personal Development (CIPD) and a Mentor for young professionals starting their HR careers.
