Guy Buckland, Head of People Development, Osborne Clarke.
Guy is Head of People Development at international legal practice Osborne Clarke and has been providing Learning & Development solutions to the business issues of blue-chip organisations and professional service firms since 2001. Before that he has an extensive background in front-line business, including managing large teams, B2B sales and sales management, which enables him to deliver training and development that is practical, pragmatic and business-focussed.
Guy is an experienced Executive coach, as well as being a trained Counsellor and is qualified to use a number of psychometrics. Although he claims to have forgotten all of his University knowledge, his experience studying Biochemistry left an overwhelming desire for evidence-based practice and scientific rigour.
He is a current member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, based on his training qualifications , and a lapsed member of the Chartered Institute of Financial Services, based on his success in his banking exams.
At weekends he likes to balance time spent with his family with time riding his bike very slowly around the West Country and the occasional trip to London to watch his beloved West Ham United.
