Jennifer Flint, People Director and OD, Karbon Homes.
Jennifer Flint (MCIPD) has over twenty years’ experience gained across the private, NHS, charitable and not for profit sectors. Karbon Homes is one of the largest housing associations in the North, owning and managing almost 30,000 properties and employing almost 800 people.
In the ten years since joining the business, Jennifer has successfully led the People and OD agenda through an amalgamation of four separate housing associations under a Group structure into one unified organisation; a period of further expansion through subsequent acquisitions and commercial ventures; and latterly a three-way merger of separate regional housing associations to form Karbon Homes. The focus throughout has been on building values-led cultures and engaging people through significant periods of change and transition.
During this time, Jennifer and her team have won awards for International Best Newcomer (IiP), Innovation In Engagement Practice (Best Companies), CIPD North East Team of The Year and Excellence In Organisation Development Practice.
A Master NLP Practitioner and qualified coach, Jennifer is in the process of moving to a new role within Karbon to lead cultural transformation projects on a part time basis. This she says, will give her space to explore her passion for creative writing, celebrant work, and supporting women to unlock the power of vulnerability in order to “stand tall, be brave and shine their light”.
