Jodie Williams, Top 100 Northern Power Women Future List, Director, Our Mel Melanin Festival
Jodie is an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion professional currently based within the transport sector, with extensive experience across the creative and utilities industries.
Whilst in the creative sector at ITV Jodie worked across charitable giving, diversity and inclusion, sustainability, young talent and colleague development. Managing large charity, talent and diversity campaigns, supporting programmes such as Text Santa, Soccer Aid and Tour de France. Diversity and Inclusion was at the heart of all projects, this was notably present in her flagship award winning ITV Work Inspiration scheme.
Jodie then moved to Yorkshire Water, leading the business on a journey towards inclusion, resulting in the business being listed in the Inclusive Top 50 and being shortlisted for Company of the Year at the Excellence in Diversity Awards. Whilst at Yorkshire Water, Jodie created new talent programmes, led the business to report on ethnicity pay gaps and implemented key changes for the disability agenda.
Jodie is also the Melanin Festival Director in Leeds. Managing a range of activity to support a variety of communities.
In partnership with the DWP Jodie also currently runs the Yorkshire Diversity Forum a network across the Yorkshire region which enables businesses and organisations to come together and share best practice and learn about all aspects of Diversity and Inclusion.
