Jonny Gifford, Senior Advisor for Organisational Behaviour, CIPD
Jonny Gifford directs the CIPD Applied Research Conference and is the CIPD lead for evidence-based practice, including overseeing a programme of evidence reviews. His research interests include job quality (leading the CIPD Good Work Index), workplace conflict, and behavioural science insights into HR practices such as recruitment, reward, performance management and ethical behaviour. He has a long record of conducting applied research into employment and people management, including in previous roles at Westminster Business School, the Institute for Employment Studies and Roffey Park Institute. He is an Academic Member of the CIPD, a Fellow of CEBMa, the Center for Evidence-Based Management and currently working on his PhD, focused on work autonomy and management control.
