Profile

Nur Laila, Principal (Organisation Development & Design), Petronas

Laila holds the role of a principal in organisation development and design, Group HRM of PETRONAS, the national oil and gas company owned by the Government of Malaysia. With a background in accounting and finance, she joined PETRONAS in 1995 as a market analyst in the petrochemical business. She has worked her way through several key functions and held various roles in areas of marketing and trading, strategic planning, business development and risk management. With vast exposure and experience in the oil and gas arena (upstream, downstream and gas businesses), she has been instrumental in many transformational activities within the PETRONAS group of companies. She joined PETRONAS human resources focusing on organisation development and design in 2014. In 2019, she was awarded with the CIPD Level 7 Award in Human Resources (Advanced OD&D) and is currently the Head (Episode) in the PETRONAS HR Transformation project and has been in that role since 2020.
