Lindsay Beresford, Head of Employee Experience, Royal Mail Group
Lindsay has worked with Royal Mail Group since joining their graduate scheme in 2000. She commenced her career in the Operations team, performing a variety of roles including leading Distribution Centres and Mail Processing Centres. Lindsay was always passionate about engagement and making Royal Mail a great place to work, and made the move to HR back in 2010. Initially Lindsay worked with a number of the operational teams as an HR Business Partner before moving into major change project work. Following launch on the stock market in 2013, Royal Mail focused on investment in its infrastructure and as part of the continuous drive to become more customer relevant, commissioned numerous projects to support revenue generation, transform the operation, and drive down costs. Projects were many and varied – equipment, increased automation, site relocations and structural change. Lindsay led a People Change team focused on designing and deploying the HR elements of this transformational change – from people transition arrangements and resourcing models to learning, development and engagement.
Now as Head of Employee Experience, Lindsay is focused on Diversity and Inclusion, Culture, Engagement and Values, Learning, and People policies for the UK arm of Royal Mail Group. Royal Mail is unique in counting every single person and community in the UK as one of its customers, and is part of the fabric of UK society and culture – and as such reflecting the diversity of those communities is at its heart.
