Melissa Venner, Director, Instinct Performance

Award-winning L&D and Organisational Development specialist, Melissa Venner is passionate about career progression. Combining a background in neuroscience with an international recruitment career, she has been able to innovate the way people “learn” in workplaces all over the world.

Melissa has commercial experience across several sectors and countries, resulting in a practice that is as profitable as it is innovative. Her scientific training and industry experience inform her approach to both L&D and OD, providing a “formula” to change behaviour at both the individual and organisational level and allowing success to be scaled and replicated time and time again.

Having made several contributions to the field, including work with the CIPD around how to create fluid progression and the benefits of neurodiversity, Melissa has also collaborated with the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) to discuss “The Future of Learning” and the current and future impact of technology on the People profession.

During her career within the recruitment sector, Melissa has improved productivity, engagement and wellbeing at both SME businesses and international organisations alike, all whilst championing the benefits of diversity & inclusion and pushing the boundaries of what we can do as a profession.
