Nelarine Cornelius, Associate Dean, People Culture and Inclusion, Queen Mary University of London

Nelarine Cornelius is Professor of Organisation Studies at Queen Mary, University of London; member of the Centre for Research into Equality and Diversity at Queen Mary and co-founder and member of Anglo-French research collective, Paris Research in Norms, Management and Law. She has decades of experience of equality research, and advisor activity, across all sectors.

She is a chartered psychologist and Fellow of a number of institutions including the Professor Cornelius’ research is in the areas of social justice, business in society and the evolution of management practices in emerging, fragile economies. She co-led the research team that produced the report, Delivering Diversity, Race and Ethnicity in the Management Pipeline (2017) on the experience of BAME managers in FTSE 100 companies, supported by the Chartered Management Institute and the British Academy of Management and is a contributor to the Business in the Community’s Race at Work Charter Survey Report 2020 Professor

Cornelius is Vice-President and a Chartered Companion of the CIPD with responsibilities for Membership and Qualifications and leads on the embedding of EDI learning into the new CIPD professional qualifications syllabi.
