Ryan Tahmassebi – Business Psychologist & Director of People Science, Hive
Ryan started his career as a Business Psychologist in 2012 after joining Sir Cary Cooper and his team of well-being and engagement experts at Robertson Cooper. During his five years there Ryan supported a number of businesses to create cultures characterised by positive, psychologically healthy, and thriving employees.
His experience includes working with Director-level professionals to develop well-being and engagement strategies which are truly impactful for both the business and each individual employee, as well as designing and delivering a range of projects for organisations including Nestle, Crossrail, and John Lewis. Prior to joining Hive, Ryan was helping to drive cultural change in his role as Head of Leadership Development at Newcastle Building Society.
Ryan has also played a lead role in the growth of ‘Good Day at Work’, a well-being networking now consisting of over 50,000 members in the UK. In addition to forming some key partnerships with other organisations and movements in the health and well-being space, Ryan hosted an annual event for up to 200 senior HR, OD, and L&D practitioners. This gave him the opportunity to share the stage and engage in discussions with world renowned experts, ensuring that he – and the business leaders he interacts with – stay connected to the very latest thinking in the field.
Whether it be working on strategy, presenting to senior leadership teams, or delivering training and coaching to teams and individuals, Ryan demonstrates a real passion and unrelenting enthusiasm for supporting clients to create more good days at work for their people.
