Samina Amin, Birmingham Branch committee member, CIPD
Since October 2015 Samina Amin has been working as an HR Adviser for the BBC where she has held various HR roles in London and Birmingham. In 2015, she was a shortlisted finalist HR Newcomer of the Year at the Personnel Today Awards.
Samina has worked in HR since 2013 after graduating from the University of Birmingham as a Master of Philosophy in Modern European Cultures and with an undergraduate degree in Italian and Hispanic Studies in 2010.
She is currently studying for a Masters in HR Management and since 2014 has successfully completed two CIPD accredited HR qualifications.
Samina is the dedicated Student Engagement Coordinator for the Birmingham CIPD branch and represents the CIPD locally, regionally and nationally. This she has organised a suite of events based around Workplace Wellbeing and Mental Health awareness and became a Mental Health First Aider in July 2018.
