Siobhán Sheridan CBE CCIPD, Chief People Officer, Financial Conduct Authority
Siobhán Sheridan is Chief People Officer for the Financial Conduct of Authority in Chief People Officer which she joined in March this year.
Prior to this, she worked as a Civilian HR Director at the UK Ministry of Defence, where she was responsible for the workforce of 57000 Civil Servants, the broader civilian and contractor workforce and is also responsible for Diversity and Inclusion Strategy at Group level for Defence.
Siobhán’s previous experience includes working in the Private, Public and Third Sectors with expertise in operational delivery, delivering change and transformation and leading HR functions in all sectors. With a career commencing at the age of 16 in the Finance Sector where she worked for 20 years, she moved into the Civil Service as HR Director for Defra and subsequently led the HR Function for Job Centre Plus. Prior to joining the MOD she was Director of People and Organisational Development for the NSPCC.
Siobhan is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD (FCIPD) and a member of the Guild of HR professionals. A lifelong learner she holds a Masters Degree in Coaching and Mentoring and a Masters with Distinction in Organisational Change. She is now pursuing a PhD in the areas of Organisational Change. She learns a significant amount from her roles as a Trustee for the Mental Health Foundation and as a committed senior volunteer with Crisis at Christmas.
