Sue Lenkowski, HR and Talent Consultant, Plexus
Sue graduated in 1983 with a 2:1 in Business Studies from Leicester Polytechnic. The early part of her career was spent in a variety of Resourcing, Talent and L&D roles in local government.
After 15 years in the public sector, Sue joined Irwin Mitchell solicitors as Training and Development Manager with responsibility for firm wide training and development and Graduate Recruitment and Training. During her 11 years at the firm, she attained Associate Director status and acted as interim HR Director on two occasions.
In December 2008, Sue left Irwin Mitchell to set up her own consultancy business – Sue Lenkowski Ltd. The consultancy provides a range of bespoke services across the full HR spectrum with particular emphasis on Resourcing Talent and L&D.
Sue has been heavily involved in the development of Legal Apprenticeships – she conducted the original employer research on behalf of Skills for Justice and was a member of the steering group which developed the original qualifications.
Since 2012, she has been working with law firms helping them to develop their apprenticeship strategy and implement both Legal and Non-legal Apprenticeship Programmes. The apprenticeship programme Sue developed at Plexus Law has been shortlisted in the Best Apprenticeship Category in the CIPD People Management Awards 2018.
