Director, Employment Rights, Department for Business and Trade

Mike Warren is the Employment Rights Director in the Department for Business and Trade (DBT), one of two co-directors leading on the government’s Plan to Make Work Pay. He has overall responsibility for the development and implementation of the Employment Rights Act, and also the minimum wage. He joined DBT in 2020, having worked in a variety of roles in the Home Office before that - most recently managing that department’s analysts. Mike lives in London and has five children, so has no time for any hobbies or interests.
