With 30 years’ experience in employment law, Jonathan is a Partner at Shoosmiths LLP and a trusted adviser to HR directors on complex matters including equality; discrimination; TUPE; trade union recognition; restructuring and post-termination restrictions. He is known for his calm, commercial approach and for providing sound, pragmatic advice that supports business objectives.

As a skilled tribunal advocate, Jonathan appears regularly in the employment tribunals and the EAT. His experience includes handling large-scale restructures; complex TUPE projects; successfully completing senior leadership changes and helping clients to build effective relationships with unions and workplace representatives.

Jonathan is passionate about sharing knowledge and regularly delivers tailored training for clients on topics such as handling disputes in the workplace; employee misuse of technology and the forthcoming changes under the Government’s Employment Rights Act, empowering clients to navigate change with confidence.
