Alison Woods

Alison is co-head of the CMS UK employment team, and sits on the firm’s international employment board.  She has worked for over two decades with a wide range of employer clients.  All of these things have maintained her genuine enthusiasm for employment law, and the unquestionable impact of people management on business success or failure.

Alison has a strong reputation for her combination of technical skill, pragmaticism and client service focus.  She has a particular interest in assisting clients through business change, and is frequently called on to support sensitive issues at boardroom level. 

Having a depth of experience in issues of data privacy and use of tech in service provision, Alison has naturally been drawn to thinking about use of AI – both within CMS and in terms of how it impacts the world of HR. Alison now sits on the AI subcommittee appointed by the CMS board,  and continues to be curious as to the potential in this evolving area.

Alison is recognised in Legal 500’s Hall of Fame, and is Band One ranked by Chambers & Partners.
