Lisa McPherson

Lisa is the Group People Director (UK & Europe) at City Facilities Management Holdings, one of the UK’s largest privately owned facilities management companies.

Lisa started her career on the shop floor in retail and quickly progressed into management, taking on her first leadership role at 20 and stepping into HR leadership by 22. With over 30 years of experience in HR, 15 of those as a board-level director, she has extensive experience of designing and delivering people strategies that drive high-performance business outcomes through employee development and engagement.

Lisa is passionate about giving people opportunities to grow in their careers, no matter their background or education. She believes that with the right attitude and support, anyone can learn and succeed. She actively champions this belief in her own organisation and by working with national and local agencies to create career opportunities.

As a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD and a mentor for the CIPD Trust, she is dedicated to supporting and guiding the next generation of HR professionals. Beyond her role, she serves as a trustee for Capability Scotland and is a proud mum to her 23-year-old daughter, who is forging her own career.
