Melissa O'Byrne, C.Psychol, FMBPsS, is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist and a Senior Consulting Business Psychologist at the UK's leading neurodiversity consultancy, Lexxic, specialising in neurodiversity in the workplace and providing full end-to-end support to organisations and neurodivergent individuals. As a subject matter expert in neurodiversity, she plays a key role in supporting organisations on their journey towards neuro-inclusion. With a deep understanding in how businesses can create more inclusive and supportive environments, Mellissa leads on a variety of consultancy projects, including her instrumental work in the development and rollout of Lexxic's Neurodiversity Smart Model, which champions neuro-inclusive practices in the workplace, helping organisations to effectively integrate neurodiversity into their culture.
Before working as a consultant, Mellissa spent five years at Lexxic supporting individuals on a one-to-one basis. She provided tailored assessments, training, and coaching to empower employees and leaders to understand and embrace neurodiversity in the workplace, and her extensive experience in the field of neurodiversity informs her ability to guide businesses in fostering a truly inclusive culture.
Mellissa’s professional background also includes significant experience in management, HR, and recruitment, where she gained exposure to a wide range of industries and organisations, from SMEs to large multinationals. This broad range of experience has given her a unique insight into the challenges organisations face in building diverse and inclusive workplaces and has shaped her approach to neuro-inclusion.
