Sarah Steel

Sarah is a HR professional with over 20 years of experience spanning public, private, and third sectors. As Head of HR and OD at Hanover, Sarah leads innovative programmes in wellbeing, people engagement, and leadership excellence, by developing Hanover’s first People and Engagement strategy she aims to ensure the organisation is agile and aligned with their values.

Sarah is passionate about creating inclusive workplaces that represent and resonate with diverse communities, fostering a culture of trust and collaboration. A confident communicator and advocate for innovation, Sarah's work has influenced transformational change, aligning people strategies with organisational goals to deliver meaningful impact.

Beyond her role, Sarah has a MSc in HRM, has served as Vice Chair of CIPD Scotland and lectured at Dundee and Angus College. She remains dedicated to inspiring the next generation of HR leaders and advancing best practices across the profession.
