Sara McGinlay

Sara McGinlay is an Early Careers & Apprenticeships Manager at Royal Mail, supporting a portfolio of future talent and early careers activities aligned to Royal Mail’s Generational Change agenda.

Sara started her career at Royal Mail in 2017 as a HR apprentice whilst studying towards her Level 4 Diploma. Shortly after, Sara progressed onto the Level 6 Chartered Manager Apprenticeship, achieving a First-Class Business Management degree. Despite being early in her career, Sara has gained a breadth of experience across the Apprenticeship & Early Careers space, working with stakeholders across various business functions to generate apprenticeship opportunities, helping grow and retain future and early talent. Currently, Sara manages a portfolio of apprenticeship programmes across key areas such as Operations, Commercial, HR, Engineering and Fleet as well as contributing to work experience, outreach and attraction activities that position Royal Mail as an attractive employer.

Sara is also currently Chair of the North West Apprentice Ambassador Network, working closely with apprentices and employers to promote apprenticeship opportunities across the North West region.
