Tom Nettel

Tom was a Chief People Officer in the NHS for ten years and an NHS HR/people professional since 2008. Tom began his NHS career in 2006 as an NHS national graduate scheme trainee and has worked across multiple London Trusts.

Tom has implemented comprehensive people strategies across a number of organisations which have directly and measurably improved the experience of organisation’s staff, organisational performance and outcomes. Tom believes in the importance of developing strategies and using them to guide decisions and support sustainably better care and outcomes for the people of City, Hackney and North East London.  

In his role as Deputy CEO and Chief Delivery Officer Tom is the formal deputy to the CEO. He also leads on the Homerton Healthcare’s internal and external strategy. He is also the lead executive accountable for the delivery of the Trust’s strategic and annual (operational, financial and people) plans as well as the Trust’s approach to digital, innovation, transformation and improvement.
