Dr. Alison Sweeney

Dr Alison Sweeney (PhD), Chartered FCIPD joins us hot on the heels of NI Water’s (NIW’s) phenomenal win at last year’s CIPD awards in the Most Impactful Health and Wellbeing category. 

Alison brings over 30 years’ experience in Human Resources across a range of business sectors including media, education, transport and logistics. In her current role as a Senior Manager within NI Water’s HR team, Alison leads a variety of key people strategies that support the company’s ambitions to provide a great place to work.  Most recently these have included design and delivery of NIW’s corporate values strategy as well as its multiple award winning health and wellbeing strategy.

Through her work Alison has placed wellbeing at the heart of NIW’s business thinking, cementing its position as a beacon of best practice in corporate health and wellbeing and contributing to NIW being named Employer of the Year 2023. She holds a PHD in Education, a BA (Hons) and Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management and is also a qualified coach. In her spare time, Alison enjoys reading, cycling, and spending time with her family – including a very special Cocker Spaniel!
