Clare Duffield
Assistant Chief Officer, People & Organisational Development, Police Service of Northern Ireland
Clare is an accomplished HR Leader and has held some of the most sizeable, challenging and rewarding Director roles across N. Ireland’s Public Services, as Director of HR and Corporate Services at the Education Authority (EA) and currently as Chief Officer for People and OD at the Police Service for Northern Ireland.
Clare transformed the People strategy and function at EA further to its creation as a new single regional organisation from the former 5 Education and Library Boards to better support schools and the education workforce.
At PSNI she is leading a people strategy to improve workforce representativeness, wellbeing and culture.
She has a passion for customer service, employee engagement, continuous improvement and keeping the HR agenda real. These are rooted in her early career in Retailing, as Head of Divisional HR for B&Q and from her desire to create good jobs and great places to work.
As a Board Member of the Labour Relations Agency, Clare is committed to developing positive workplace relations, skills and behaviours to enable a productive and prosperous economy. She enjoys Mentoring colleagues and encourages the development of high performing teams.
Clare is an aspiring age-group Triathlete with an interest in the correlation between high performance sport and leadership, and is a mum of 2 boys.
