Gillian McAuley

Gillian McAuley has been working in the People profession for more than 25 years after initially starting her career as an employment lawyer in Canada.  Gillian was born in NI but emigrated to Canada as a child but then moved back to NI in 2001.  Currently Gillian is the Chief People Officer with Eakin Healthcare a family owned medical device business headquartered in NI with 750 people globally.   Gillian previously worked in HR roles in Translink (in Vancouver), Northern Ireland Electricity/Viridian and Devenish Nutrition.

In 2022- 23, Gillian was the President of the NI Chamber of Commerce and now remains on their Board.

Gillian also currently sits on the Board of the British Chamber of Commerce and is a member of Council with the Ulster University.  In the past Gillian served 8 years on the NI Hospice Board and 3 years with the NOW Group.

Gillian is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors and a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD.

Gillian lives on a small farm in Co. Antrim and is married with 2 teenage sons.
