Sarah Morley MA FCIPD

Following a successful career as a self-employed IT Training Consultant, Sarah first started work in NHS Wales in 2000 at the former Gwent Healthcare NHS Trust. Through her 10 years in Gwent she had the opportunity to work in a number of roles across Education, Development and Workforce before joining Cardiff and Vale UHB in 2010 as Assistant Director of Organisational Development.

Sarah was appointed as Executive Director of Organisational Development and Workforce at Velindre University NHS Trust in 2014. In this role, as part of the network of NHS Wales Directors, Sarah holds a number of NHS Wales lead roles across Diversity and Inclusion, Welsh Language and in the development of the People and Organisational Development Profession.

In her national role representing Directors of People and Organisational Development, Sarah has been active in the implementation of the Anti-Racist Wales Action Plan across workforce policy work, training development and Chairs the Workforce Race Equality Standard Steering Group.

Sarah is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

She was Deputy President of the Healthcare People Management Association for four years and is very proud to now be the UK Joint President since April 2023.  Sarah was awarded the HPMA Presidents Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2022.
