Louise Smethurst

Louise has been specialising in reward since 2005, beginning withCable&Wireless in telecoms, then moving to the charity sector to lead reward for Clic Sargent (now Young Lives v Cancer) and on to Discovery to experience the media and entertainment sector. After relocating to the Isles of Scilly in 2018, Louise took a career break for a few years as there is little demand for reward management skills on five tiny islands off the coast of Cornwall! When covid opened up opportunities for fully-remote working in 2021, Louise joined clothing retailer Seasalt Cornwall where she has been managing a fabulous team of reward, payroll and HR systems professionals ever since. Now living back on the mainland in Cornwall, Louise remains a passionate supporter of remote working and the benefits for employees and companies alike, if given the right conditions to help it thrive.
