Michelle Sutton

Michelle has been working in payroll and benefits since 1992, working in a variety of roles including overseas assignments for Tesco. She has been listed in the Reward300 for the past four years and loves what she does. Michelle’s current role as head of compensation and reward at SUEZ means she is responsible for HR Systems, Pensions, Payroll and Reward, which is both challenging and satisfying, especially with the ever-changing world of remuneration. Michelle has led the expansion of SUEZ’s benefits portfolio, partnering with a variety of companies to help employees understand and improve their financial wellbeing, leading to several industry recognised awards. Michelle also works for the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals as a tutor, supporting students in the foundation degree in payroll management, and as an examiner since 2012. According to Michelle, working in the HR industry is a lot of fun and very rewarding.  She thinks it’s important to attend events - both online and face to face - for networking with like-minded professionals.
