Danny Gorman

Danny Gorman is an experienced educator and professional in the rail industry, currently serving as Apprenticeship and Governance Manager at Northern Trains. Based across the whole of the North, he plays a key role in developing and overseeing the largest and most successful train crew apprenticeship programmes in the UK, ensuring high standards of governance, and supporting talent development within one of the UK’s major train operating companies.

He is also responsible for the Early Careers strategy at Northern which provides opportunities for young people from all backgrounds from NEETs to Graduates. 

With a background in Further Education, Danny previously held roles including Vice Principal in the North West and Principal roles in London. Bringing strong experience in leadership, training, and organisational strategy to his position at Northern, He is passionate about the creating opportunities for for both the current work force and the next generation.

Northern are delighted to be shortlisted as finalists in the CIPD People Management Awards for Best Apprenticeship Scheme, have recently been ranked as the 24th best Apprenticeship Employer in The Times Top 100 and have been awarded Outstanding for Apprenticeship provision by OFSTED.
