EXHIBITION FEATURES

No matter which ticket you held, attending in person meant stepping into the vibrant energy of the exhibition floor. Visitors took part in immersive experiences and discovered opportunities to spark lasting connections with their peers. Across the two days, visitors enjoyed interactive features designed to bring interactive experience to the most pressing topics facing the profession and member feedback, alongside returning favourites that continued to provide valuable guidance and direction.

Careers hub

The careers hub was an inclusive space for people professionals to come together to benefit from the experience of others, and ask the questions they’ve never quite had the right person or context to ask.

Each session focused on a particular career path or progression point. A different panel of speakers shared their own story, reflected on the skills needed to excel, some of the unexpected learnings they discovered and their ‘top three’ things they wish they’d known. Whether you were about to embark on a journey to career promotion, or perhaps making the leap to become an independent consultant, visitors asked live questions to those who had learnings and experience in these decisions.

Employment rights bill roundtables

The CIPD has been consulting on the employment rights bill over the past 12 months, and continues to represent CIPD members and the people profession views with government on how these reforms will influence the workplace. The bill is expected to become law across the coming months, but there are still areas of secondary legislation to consult on and important legislation changes to be agreed upon. Most notably, the practicalities of the new probation period.

This was visitors chance to direct the conversations and ensure that their voice was heard. Visitors joined us for a series of exclusive roundtable discussions where we collaborated to:

  • Share insights and experiences directly with CIPD policy experts
  • Explored critical issues affecting people professionals, including trade union reforms, zero hours contracts, and the unfair dismissal process
  • Contribute to CIPD’s consultation responses, helping to ensure your voice reaches the highest levels of policymaking.

CIPD HR-Inform hosted free legal drop-in clinics across both days. Offering HR professionals the chance to access expert employment law legal advice. Whether visitors were facing personal or organisational legal challenges, you could book a 15-minute session with one of their experienced advisors. Visitors took advantage of this opportunity to get practical, professional guidance tailored to your needs.
