Insights stages

Your free learning opportunity. This year there were three Insights stages covering Learning and skills, Employee engagement and HR transformation. Plus, located within the Conference hall, Evidence Lab Live made its return, which provided you with the latest academic research and best practices for practitioners.

Learning and Skills

You explored trends across the profession and shifts in best practice for learning and skills development. From exploring development in a hybrid world, to AI's impact on learning models, these sessions answered your pressing questions.

HR Transformation

Whether you are changing policies, introducing new systems or making significant changes within your teams, these sessions provided the guidance you need.

Employee Engagement

You engaged with interactive sessions from guest speakers reflecting on their journey towards open, trusting and positive workplace environments.

Evidence Lab Live

Focusing on academic research and best practices for practitioners. Attendees took advantage of hearing the latest developments, case studies, advice and guidance from industry experts. All supported by academia and research.

Industry leading exhibitors

At #cipdACE 2024 we had over 130 leading product and service providers gathered under one roof! Whether you were looking to catch-up with an existing supplier, discover a new solution provider or find a resource to help you implement strategies inspired by the content programme, there was no shortage on the exhibition floor.

AI hub

New for 2024!

The AI Hub was your one-stop shop to discover how to demystify AI across the people profession. Attendees immersed themselves as 5Mins.ai and Scotty AI, delivered interactive demonstrations on how to harness AI to boost innovation and productivity.

Relaxation area

An area where attendees could take a little ‘me’ time for themselves. We know attending shows can be rewarding in so many ways, but they can also be very busy and at times, a little overwhelming.

The relaxation area in the Refresh and Reflect Café provided you with a chance to slow down and reflect. You could have had a massage, joined a mindfulness session or maybe a breathing workshop to help you centre yourself again.

Ethics, Conflicts and Resolutions

The subject of ethics across the People Profession has always been at the forefront of everything we do. With the ever-changing world of work, new challenges and new opportunities, the subject of ethics has never been more important. Whether this is through the prism of Artificial Intelligence to legal policies and processes. This feature was an opportunity for all attendees to join the conversation and explore the subject in a number of different ways, from workshops and panel discussions to 'escape' activities.

Careers & Skills drop-in

The Careers & Skills drop-in was a safe and inclusive space for people professionals to come together and benefit from the experience of others, and ask the questions they’ve always wanted to, but have never quite had the right person or context to ask.

Each session focused on a particular career path or part of a career path. A different panel of speakers were there for each session will share their own story, what skills are needed to excel, and their ‘top three’ of what they wish they’d known before participants have the opportunity to ask their questions. There was an expert chair to introduce the speakers, facilitate the Q&A and perhaps add a few opening and closing thoughts of their own.

Employment law clinic

Back by popular demand, CIPD HR-Inform, provided their free legal drop-in clinic. Attendees were able to  take advantage of the legal expertise on offer, with one of their advisors. Discussions could be on employment law matters affecting you personally or your organisation.

Quiet Room

The Quiet Room was located in the entrance foyer, opposite the registration help desk. It is a safe space that anyone can visit when attending an event, to help manage any sensory overload, triggers or stimulation, or simply take a 10 minute brain break, proven to support mental wellbeing, and improve concentration, productivity and participation. Managed by a safe person for essential supervision, support and safeguarding, trained and experienced in Mental Health First Aid and Neurodiversity Awareness. Our Quiet Room is a device free zone and is a space for visitors to meditate and relax for any needs you have.

Reconnections

Sponsored by Hibob. One of the key benefits to attending a large scale event is the opportunity to meet and learn from your peers. Therefore, Reconnections hosted 30-minute speed networking events on each of the two days. Whether it was your first time attending the event or not, and you just wanted to discuss different topics, this was a great opportunity to extend your network.
