Hanna Johnston

I am a senior People leader, currently responsible for People Services, Talent and Culture, with over 15 years’ experience within the automotive industry. My role spans Learning and Development, Talent Acquisition, Early Careers, Reward, Payroll, Onboarding, Engagement and Culture, with a particular focus on engaging people, strengthening leadership capability and providing the governance and foundations that ensure our colleague practices are effective and sustainable.

I believe that today we need to look beyond traditional talent pools and create more accessible routes into our industries. I am actively exploring how we attract and create pathways for people from different backgrounds, including military and ex-service personnel, former police officers, people transitioning from other sectors and people leaving custody. I also believe strongly in early careers as a way of developing skills and creating sustainable pipelines of future talent.

At the heart of my approach is a strong belief that people perform at their best when they feel they belong, are valued and supported, and have the opportunity to grow.
