Smit Patel is a HR Business Partner for Group Functions at PZ Cussons, he partners with senior leaders to shape people strategy across global functions. His practical experience spans global talent, reward, employee engagement, organisational effectiveness, early careers, and change management. He is passionate about creating workplaces where people and businesses can thrive together.

With a degree in Aviation Technology and a non-traditional route into HR, Smit brings a fresh perspective to people challenges. He combines strategic thinking with a practical, operational approach, helping senior leaders translate strategy into action and supporting line managers to deliver meaningful outcomes day to day. A Chartered Member of the CIPD, he is particularly interested in the connection between people, technology and business performance.

At this year’s CIPD ACE Conference, Smit will share practical insights on measuring the return on investment of AI implementation. His session will explore how organisations can move beyond the hype and demonstrate meaningful business impact from AI in the workplace.
