Sarah Venables

HR Business Partner, University of Worcester

Sasi (Sarah) Venables is the CIPD Branch Co-Chair for Hereford and Worcester, the Founder of The HR Confidence Club, and a HR Business Partner at the University of Worcester.

She is a Human Resources, DEIB & Culture Specialist by profession, with 20+ years’ experience. Sasi’s ethos of kindness, compassion and empathy often see’s being sought out to be a sounding board, mentor or coach, due to her supportive and non-judgmental style.

Why she does what she does?: Sasi is a passionate advocate for marginalised groups who may be feeling emotionally lost, low, frustrated by life, or at a crossroads and unsure where to turn for help. She wants to champion and facilitate a happier and fulfilled way forward. Supporting the reignition of confidence through mentoring, coaching, training and community building. She strives to provide reassurance, clarity, simplicity and empowerment to help stop negative thought patterns and feelings spiralling into serious mental health concerns. Having lived this very cycle herself some years ago.

Achievements: CIPD Chartered Fellow; Professional speaker; Facilitator; Trainer; Coach; Mentor; Developing and delivering training; Delivering successful Charter Mark's for Gender, Race, LGBTQIA+, and Disability equality; Creating and leading Staff and Committee networks within the workplace and for her professional body.

The Qual bit: Sasi has a Masters degree in HRM; a 1st class honours degree in Management Studies; an Advanced Diploma (L7) in Human Resource Management (HRM); she has undertaken bespoke masterclass courses in Business Partnering - Find Your Awesome; accepted onto the 1st cohort of the CIPD’s Future People Leaders Programme; and is working towards a L5 Diploma in Coaching. 

Career Background: Having worked for and volunteered with large public sector organisations – CIPD, Police, Fire and Education, has equipped her to deal with and advise on aligning HR and business strategy, managing transformation and change, understanding politics, committees, auditing and policy. All skills that can assist and support you as she facilitates your ability to reignite your inner confidence. Her background in HR makes her the ideal person for you to safely explore what’s holding you back in your role.
