Dr Charles Barthold is Senior Lecturer in HRM and Organisation Studies at the Open University Business School. With Dr Stephen Allen (University of Sheffield) and Professor Carole Elliott (University of St Andrews ) current research, funded by the British Academy/Leverhulme, studies the relationship between organisational democracy, sustainability and leadership. Charles is the director of the MSc in HRM of the Open University Business School, and his broader research interests are in critical approaches to leadership and organisation studies.
