Baboucarr Badjan

Baboucarr Badjan is an experienced HR leader and Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, currently serving as Head of Human Resources at Ecobank Gambia. With over 16 years of HR leadership experience, he has held senior leadership roles in both international and regional banks, including Standard Chartered and Ecobank in The Gambia. In his current role, Baboucarr leads the people agenda, driving HR transformation, employee experience, talent development, succession planning, and building a high- performance culture. A hallmark of Baboucarr’s experience is managing complex Group-level change initiatives locally, mastering the critical balance between global consistency and local relevance. He is passionate about elevating the HR profession, developing emerging talent, and building workplaces where people and organizations thrive. An active member of Toastmasters International, Baboucarr is an advocate for continuous learning and professional development.
