Chief People and Inclusion Officer, Co-op
Claire is Chief People and Inclusion Officer at the Co-operative Group and a member of Co-op’s Operating Board.
The team works across 3 core areas: setting and delivering the strategy for Reward, Wellbeing, Employee Relations, Inclusion, Skills, Colleague proposition and Leadership development; supporting the strategic people challenges (effectively change management) across all business areas -Food (food stores & NISA, logistics, food support), Life services (Funeral care, Legal Services, Insurance) and Support Centre (People, Finance, Marketing, Tech & Data, Property, CBS & Transformation, Strategy & Vision, Community, Legal & Secretariat, Risk & Audit, Comms); and delivering a pensions proposition to 57,000 colleagues and 30,000 pensioners.
Claire joined the Co-op in 2019 as Chief Procurement Officer and moved into her current role in People in 2022. Claire is passionate about creating strong relationships through engaged, skilled and driven teams, providing collaborative challenge across the organisation and encouraging colleagues and stakeholders to truly co-operate.
Claire has recently joined the Board of Coop Academies Trust as a Trustee.
