Daiga Kamerade

Professor in Work and Wellbeing, University of Salford

Prof Daiga Kamerāde a Professor of Work and Wellbeing and the Director of the Centre for Research on Inclusive Society (CRIS) at the University of Salford. Additionally, she serves as an Associate Research Fellow at the Centre for Business Research at the University of Cambridge and the Digital Future of Work Centre. With a career spanning nearly three decades, Daiga’s work lies at the intersection of psychology and sociology. Her primary focus is on understanding how work affects workers’ mental health and wellbeing.

Daiga is a co-investigator in a three-year research project on underemployment, funded by the ESRC Large Grant Scheme. This pioneering initiative focuses on individuals working beneath their full potential or personal preferences concerning hours, wages, and skill utilisation. The project aims to understand how underemployment affects not only the workers themselves but also their families and communities.
