Daniel Wheatley is Reader in Business and Labour Economics at University of Birmingham, UK. He researches work and well-being including job quality, flexible working arrangements, remote and hybrid work, work-life balance, spatial dimensions of work including work-related travel, and aspects of time-use including leisure time. Daniel is an Academic Fellow of the CIPD and is author of Time Well Spent: Subjective Well-being and the Organization of Time and Well-being and the Quality of Working Lives, and editor of the Handbook of Research on Remote Work and Worker Well-Being in the Post-COVID-19 Era.
