Gavin is an experienced HR Business Partner in Together for Children’s People Services function. Together for Children is responsible for delivering vital children’s services, including children’s social care, early help, targeted youth services, education, and SEND services on behalf of Sunderland City Council. With a career spanning over 25 years in local government human resources, Gavin brings a wealth of expertise and a deep commitment to public service.

Gavin is particularly passionate about harnessing new technologies to enhance and develop daily working practices, ensuring that the workforce is equipped to meet the challenges of the future. His career also includes diverse roles outside of local government, including positions with the Royal Air Force, the NHS Prescription Pricing Authority, and the Bank of England, providing him with a broad and varied professional background.

Gavin is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
