Helen Fitzhugh

Senior Research Associate, University of East Anglia

Dr Helen Fitzhugh is a social researcher with a focus on organisations and social value creation. While this has largely manifested as a focus on the implementation of improvements to workplace wellbeing in recent years, the golden thread of her work is how good intentions are translated within organisations into action and whether that action is successful in creating positive change for the people involved. Helen’s research has commonly involved mixed methods, but she leans more towards the qualitative as the core of her practice. She is passionate about knowledge exchange and research impact, having started her social research career in applied settings, working with charities and social enterprises. She developed the Evolve Workplace Wellbeing evidence-based toolkit (www.evolveworkplacewellbeing.org) and currently runs the Evolve Network of HR practitioners and senior managers alongside her continuing research studies on workplace wellbeing at the University of East Anglia.
