Sam Turnpenny is a talent acquisition leader specialising in entry-level recruitment and early careers. He is currently driving the transformation of Accenture’s campus recruiting function in EMEA, which makes more than 10,000 hires each year across 40 countries. He previously led the firm’s UK early talent attraction team and advised clients on early talent acquisition strategies as an HR transformation consultant.

Sam graduated in management and digital innovation from the London School of Economics and is now a postgraduate research student in human resource management at the University of Portsmouth. His research interests are in recruitment and the use of artificial intelligence in HR, and his current research is investigating the factors that drive the adoption and use of AI tools in talent acquisition practices.

Sam has also led graduate, intern and apprentice recruitment for a number of FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 companies in the consulting, technology, and finance industries, and he has built early careers programmes for public sector and non-profit organisations. These campaigns and programmes have won numerous industry awards, including Best Early Careers Initiative at the British Training Awards and Best Early Careers Initiative at the In-house Recruitment Awards.
